So, I’ve been traveling this last month and I haven’t had much time to “research” this week. This will be an abbreviated version of what I usually do. Next week, I will be back to “normal”

Last week---
So I’ve been on the road for the last few weeks. You know, I ran into some terrible weather. In the Carolina’s and north Florida, some days it didn’t even hit 60 degrees. What was the weather like here?
Truth be told, I had some fab weather in south Florida but I think I spent too much time there. On my return, I turned around and headed west to Oregon. OMG I could live there. Pam’s uncle had a birthday celebration, and that was the reason to go, but we spent a few days on the coast and I fell in love. i/we will defiantly be back.
I did get to see and hear some great music on the road but the Riverwalk Blues Fest was a bit of a disappointment. I had been to several and this one didn’t live up to my standards.
Between trips, I caught Barrence Whitfield over at Opus a few weeks back. He is just WOWZA!!!
Last night, I was at In a Pigs Eye to hear that fab Duo, The Merj, featuring Jim and Roze Malone. I just love those guys.
My picks in the coming week:
Dave Bailin and the Bailouts rock the house tonight, Thursday, at In a Pigs Eye. Don’t miss this show. See ya there.
Friday jam at the Pig? No brainer.
Saturday, we have a very special feature. Barrence Whitfield is doing a special after party upstairs at Finz. It is in celebration of the Salem Film Fest, happening starting today, March 6. Barrence starts at 9:30 and it’s a free show. But feel free to make a contribution to the fest.
Sunday/Funday. I have to go to as many of these as possible because I suspect I will be working Sundays, starting very soon. I’m having “issues” with my search engine and can’t find who this week’s special guest is. But it’s always a good show so see you there.
Wednesday, it’s back to the Pig for Judy Rudd and Thrift Store Roots Project. As you know, Judy is finally back performing and you got to love that. Go check out her lovely voice and great band. WOW!!!
This list was put together with much help from STANSLIST. See his site here: http://www.stanslist.com Thanks Stan.
