Last week---

Julie Dougherty and Woody played a couple of great sets at The Lobster Shanty last Thursday. there was a good, appreciative crowd out on the patio on one of the last, warm nights outside. Pam and I got to talk with them between sets and found that Julie is having a CD release party at Brodies Seaport on Saturday, October 5. There’s something to look forward to. I’ll remind you next week.

Surprise!!! I went to the friday jam at In a Pigs Eye again last week. You know this is one of my 2 favorite weekly shows in town, the other being Sunday/Funday at Brodies. And I’ll be making it back for those Sunday shows soon enough. Stand by.

President Soup was a nice surprise Sunday evening at The Pig.  I stopped in after work and the place was jumping.

My picks in the coming week:

Erinn (2N) Brown performs Thursday outside Lobster Shanty at 7, after the farmers Market. Erinn always puts on a cool and classy show.

You know I’ve been raving about the Dejas playing in the new music room downstairs at OPUS. Go and check out this great new music room.

Friday. The Pig. 4:15. Be there.

Saturday features my favorite show of the month, every month. Juke Joint Five return to the Pig for their monthly “3rd Saturday” show. Don’t forget your dancing shoes. See y’all there.

Sunday/Funday, this week with guitar great Matt Stubbs. And you know you won’t see me there. I don’t want to talk about it. OK!!! But you need to go so GO!!!

Please excuse any incorrect spelling and omissions.

Go out and listen to some great LIVE music in the wonderful, strange, historic and hip town of Salem, Massachusenutts.

And tip your bartenders and servers.

And always check with the venue as times and schedules change. (and I sometimes Feck up)
