This show was my first exposure to the fantastic music scene here. If you haven’t been here for this yet, what are you waiting for?
The Lobster Shanty has their house band Vein tonight and every Friday night.

Here’s something new to town. The Village Tavern is going to have music on a regular basis and tonight, it’s JT and the Hounds. Stop in for a listen and check the place out. If you don’t know where they are, they are across from the PEM, on the pedestrian mall. Welcome to town, guys.

Shows you may have missed:
Yes, I did get out of my shell last Friday and went to the Friday Blues Jam at In a Pigs Eye and it was fab, as expected. I followed that with The Merj down at Brodies Seaport Café. If you read this page, you know how much I love these guys, who showed tonight with the full band. HAPPY FEET!!!
Oh man. I told you. I hope you didn’t miss Juke Joint 5 at In a Pigs Eye last Saturday. I have said many times that these guys are the best I’ve heard in Salem all year, and I mean it. A friend corrected me and said she thought they were the best band she had EVER seen and heard anywhere. And I saw plenty of people who did listen to me and heard them for the first time. Don’t miss them next time. They have a regular gig here on the 2nd Saturday of each month. WOWZA!!!!
The weekly Sunday/Funday was excellent AGAIN last week. I know you are sick of hearing how much I love this but I do. If you haven’t caught this show, you are missing out. It’s my Pick of the Afternoon, EVERY WEEK.
This list was put together with much help from STANSLIST. See his site here: http://www.stanslist.com Thanks Stan.
Please excuse any incorrect spelling and omissions.
Go out and listen to some great LIVE music in the wonderful, strange, hip town of Salem.
And tip your bartenders and servers.
And always check with the venue as times and schedules change. (and I sometimes mess up)
Hope to see you out there!
