HAPPY NOVEMBER!!!!! Well, we made it. It’s fun to live in Salem in October and it’s also fun in November and the rest of the year too. Take a deep breath and let’s move on. As my friend Nancy says all the time, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

It’s been a very busy month in October, so I have to give some slack to SEVERAL venues that haven’t updated their live music calendars. You know who you are! That doesn’t mean they don’t have music. It just means you have to go check it out yourself. Sorry.

Shows you may have missed

For whatever reason, I didn’t get out much last week. But I did get to see/hear Chris Fitz and Elle Gallo on their return to In a Pigs Eye, last Wednesday. Some cool special guests, John Devine on harp, Roberto Villanueva on percussion, and Dannie Burnette on vocals. I can’t believe the beautiful harmony these 2 beautiful ladies can put out. Dannie, we need to hear from you more often. See picture at top of blog.

The Friday jam at In a Pigs Eye was spectacular, as usual. An extra large crowd last week, probably because of Halloween. Don’t be afraid, it’s safe to come out now. The jam happens every Friday, around 4ish to 7:15ish.

I followed that with a trip down to my favorite place in Salem, where I met my lovely bride, Pam, to hear some cool tunes from the house band Vein. They always put on a great show and, I don’t know if I ever mentioned that I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

This list was put together with much help from STANSLIST.COM. Thanks Stan.

Please excuse any incorrect spelling and omissions.

Go out and listen to some great LIVE music in the wonderful, strange, hip town of Salem.

And tip your bartenders and servers.

And always check with the venue as times and schedules change. (and I sometimes mess up)

Hope to see you out there!

Today’s picture was taken last Wednesday at In a Pigs Eye. Shown are John Devine, Chris Fitz, Elle Gallo, Roberto Villanueva and Dannie Burnette. What a fab show it was.
