No, I’m not telling her age. I might be dumb but I’m not STUPID. Let’s just say I robbed the cradle.

Tonight, Gulu Gulu has the Doctors Fox. Help me Doctor.

Uke Joint with Jeff Buckridge is in town again tonight, playing Howling Wolf this time. Do you know they have outside seating too? I know some folks who like to sit outside and heckle passers by. They are harmless, just having fun. You know who you are, you CORDWANGERS!

There is a paid admission for dance lessons but a great way to meet similar minded people. The party continues after 10 with you using all the moves you have learned. Again, bring your dancing shoes. Chris will be behind the bar mixing drinks and harassing ME. Hope for a nice night for outside seating too.

Shows you may have missed

I had a pleasant surprise at In a Pigs Eye last Thursday, when I heard Juke Joint Five, an energetic, 5 piece band putting down some real blues numbers. Sax, guitar, bass, drums and and great female lead singer. The sax player was all over the place, on the floor, everywhere.     I thought he might follow me into the men’s room. I don’t believe they have played Salem as a band before but separately. I’ll be watching for them in the future.

Sunday night, I was back at the Pig (surprised?) to hear Henley’s band. There was a new guy who sat in for a few songs and blew me away on trombone, one of my favorite instruments. I had to ask him who he was as I had never seen him before. A young guy named Brian Cogger. Remember that name.

I want to give some credit here. This list was put together with much help from STANSLIST.COM and also LINDASLIST. Thanks Stan and Linda.

Please excuse any incorrect spelling and omissions.

Go out and listen to some great LIVE music in the wonderful, hip town of Salem.

And tip your bartenders and servers.

And always check with the venue as times and schedules change. (and I sometimes mess up)

Hope to see you out there!

Today’s picture was taken at Gregfest a few weeks back, at Seaport Café,  showing the festive crowd enjoying the show.
