Live Music This Weekend: Boris Bop and Eric French

Here is a round up of live music happening this weekend around the North Shore.

This weekend is packed with live music on the North Shore and a whole bunch of bands playing a wide variety of music genres, from classic rock to blues and soul, can be seen for free at rock clubs and restaurants throughout the region.

Local rock band Groove Alliance will be playing Capone's Restaurant in Peabody on Friday night. Groove Alliance dubs itself "a 9-piece show band, with outstanding 4-part harmonies, a seriously groove-infused rhythm section and an all-star 3-piece horn section that is unmatched in New  England -- Groove Alliance packs a serious one-two punch with their  precision-playing and unparalleled presentation."

All shows begin at 9 p.m. unless specified.
