Gordon College Turns Pioneer Village Over to Salem

The college is no longer running the living history site in Salem.

Gordon College has stopped running a living history museum in Salem in favor of concentrating its resources on managing that city's old Town Hall.

The Salem News reports that Gordon did not renew its contract to run Salem Pioneer Village 1630 in Salem's Forest River Park.

The city opened the village, where re-enactors engage visitors with depictions of life in the 17th century, just this month.
