Clean Salem Green Salem

SalemRecycles and the Beautification Committee invite you to their annual, earth-friendly spring event on Salem Common!  We'll have a neighborhood cleanup in the morning (with pizza for volunteers), recycling opportunities & environmental displays, live music, and more. 

8:30-11:30 CLEAN SWEEPS (rain date 5/6): To volunteer for neighborhood cleanup, meet team leaders on the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall.  For a list of other locations, or to organize a group to clean another location, call 978-619-5676.  Pizza at noon on the Common after.

10:00-1:00 GREEN PROGRAMS on SALEM COMMON (rain or shine):

* Clothing and Household Swap 'N' Drop (10-12, weather permitting) -- free swap or simply drop off - men's, women's, children's clothing, accessories, & small household items, all in good working condition.  NO TVs.

* Other recycling opportunities -- drop off Bulky Rigid Plastics (info below), and plastic bags.  Goodwill textile recycling dropoff (textiles in any condition as long as dry and clean; small household items but no TVs).

* Live music -- Green Infusion plays 11:30-1:00.  Environmentally-themed music for all ages!
