10th and Final 'Witchstock' Saturday at The Salem Willows

The 10th and final Witchstock concert will take place Saturday afternoon at The Salem Willows.

Local residents are invited to take part in the 10th and final 'Witchstock' concert at the Salem Willows on Saturday.

Witchstock was started in 2004 by Scott "80's Man" Herwig as a grassroots festival designed to showcase local, upcoming bands from the Salem area.

"All good things come to an end and we definitely want Witchstock to be remembered for the legacy that it held for 10 years straight," Herwig said.

Herwig said he is dedicating this year's Witchstock concert to his grandfather, Mr Charles Diluiso, who passed away in 2004.

"He got to attend the first one, and never got to see how it grew over time," Herwig said.

This year will bring a slight change to the normal format. There will be five tribute bands performing a sort of "Rock History" that will go through the decades of Rock N' Roll from the 60's on up.

Tributes include The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Alice in Chains, and Guns N' Roses.

Music starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
