When is Yard Waste Pickup?

Spring yard waste pickup dates have been announced.

Rake out those flower beds and break down those tree branches.

Yard waste pickup in Salem is scheduled for Monday, April 28 through Friday, May 2.

Residents should place their leaves and grass clippings in brown paper yard waste bags or uncovered garbage cans curbside on the same day as your trash day.

Only the following items are accepted:

Lawn clippings, leaves, brush, plants, and branches not longer than four feet or wider than four inches. Branches must be bundled.

Yard Waste does not include tree stumps or logs.

The next curbside yard waste pick-up will be the week of June 23. However, residents with proper identification can always drop off their yard waste at the Transfer Station on Swampscott Road during their normal business hours.

Household Hazardous Waste Day April 26

Also, on Saturday April 26 Salem residents may participate in the Household Hazardous Waste Day from 8 a.m. to noon at Beverly High School.

Proof of Salem residency is required and there is a fee of $20 per car.
