Upcoming Yard Waste Pick Up Days

Get it to the curb. The town's picking up your leaves and grass soon.

Finally, the snow is gone and you're shoveling like a maniac to clean up the debris. Here are some upcoming days when Salem conducts its citywide yard waste curbside pickup.

Residents are asked to place their leaves and grass clippings in brown paper yard waste bags or uncovered garbage cans curbside on the same day that their trash is picked up.

Here are the upcoming dates for yard waste pickup: April 28, 29 and 30; May 1 and 2; June 23-28.

Only the following items are accepted:

  • Lawn clippings and Leaves
  • Brush, Plants, and Branches not longer than four feet or wider than four inches and they must be bundled.
  • Yard Waste does not include tree stumps or logs.

Residents with proper identification can always drop off their yard waste at the Transfer Station on Swampscott Road, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Residents are encouraged to contact the Trash and Recycling Department at 978-619-5673 for more information.
