DeSalvo's Grave Opened Friday Afternoon: As investigators once again  pulled evidence from the body of Albert DeSalvo, the man notoriously suspected of committing the Boston Strangler murders, Puritan Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Peabody attempted to carry on as usual. One of the women murdered was from Salem.

Salem Awarded Matching $65K Grant for North Street Fire Station : On Thursday, the Salem Mayor's Office announced that the city has been awarded a $65,000 matching grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund to undertake masonry work, painting, and window improvements to the North Street Fire Station.
