PHOTOS: Salem Patch Pothole Safari

We went out in search of potholes Sunday afternoon.

We found this big one on Boston Street in Salem.

Potholes - you try your best to avoid them but you're bound to slam into one or two before the end of the winter.

In a post on Salem Patch last week, we asked you to help us identify some of the city's problem spots.

On Sunday, I set out armed with a camera and a list of reader responses to conduct something of a "pothole safari."

The biggest pothole I found was the one pictured above on Boston Street.

Click through the photos above for a look at some local doozies.

Have a big pothole in your neighborhood? Snap a picture and post it to our Around Town Section Or, download the Patch mobile app and add the photo directly from your phone.

To report a pothole to the city, call 978-744-3302.

So many of them have old trolley rails underneath. I can't figure out why those were not removed long ago.
