PHOTOS: Fallen Heroes Remembered

The Massachusetts Iraq and Afghanistan Fallen Heroes Memorial gave residents and visitors an opportunity to remember our state's fallen and inspire others to support the effort to remember.

Last weekend, The Massachusetts Iraq and Afghanistan Fallen Heroes Memorial came to the Salem Waterfront Hotel and gave residents and visitors a chance to learn about the Bay State's fallen heroes and learn how they can support the effort to remember them.

Volunteers, members of the organiztion, family members of the fallen and state officials came to the hotel in an effort to spread the word about the organization's mission to create a permanent memorial for our heroes.

A touch-screen kiosk, with information on all of our state's fallen, was at the hotel so that visitors could learn more. A total of 163 from the Bay State have made the sacrifice in Iraq or Afghanistan, according to the organization.
