Nurse at North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital Honored with National Nursing Award

Tiffany Costanza, RN, was recently awarded with the Rising Star Award.

Tiffany Costanza, RN, a staff nurse at North Shore Medical Center, was recently honored by Nurse.com with the Rising Star Award. Nurse.com is a national nursing publication, and the award recognizes one nurse from each region of the country with fewer than five years of experience.

Candidates for the award are selected based on nominations by their colleagues. Nominees demonstrate strong knowledge and exceptional clinical practice skills, and display traits of future leadership roles by going above and beyond their role to effect change and make a difference.

“Tiffany is an exceptional NSMC Registered Nurse, who is dedicated to continuous learning and the sharing of knowledge with others,” said Rita Russett, R.N., nurse manager at NSMC Salem Hospital. “We are proud to have Tiffany on our patient care team!”

Costanza lives in Everett, MA, grew up in Malden, MA and graduated from Salem State University with a degree in nursing. She started at NSMC as a transporter at Salem Hospital in 2007, and quickly worked her way up to staff nurse.

Her nomination was based on her practice to care for patients and to take enjoyment in understanding their whole story, and to help patients heal by bonding with them and their families. She tailors her nursing interventions to every patient’s unique needs.
