New Shetland Park Webcam Offers Live, Interactive Look at Salem Harbor

Take a live look around Salem Harbor via Shetland Park's new interactive webcam.

Viewers can see the activity in Salem Harbor, the Friendship, Derby and Pickering Wharfs, and the South River from Shetland Park’s Website

Shetland Park, has added a webcam this week so that the world can see the same iconic views of historic Salem Harbor that their tenants see daily.

Robert I. Lappin, President of Shetland, is excited to give viewers pan, tilt, and zoom control of the camera with views of the entire area. 

They will also be able to snap a picture of what they see to save to their computer and share with others.

Those who follow Shetland Park on Facebook or Twitter or visit the Shetland Park website at www.shetlandpark.com, will find direct access to the live streaming HD video.


There are many attractions to view such as the schooner, “Fame” which sails up to three times a day from Memorial Day through Halloween and a view of the replicate vessel “Friendship” docked at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site, along with many classic yachts and sailboats anchored in the Harbor. 

A view of New England weather, beautiful ocean views, cruise ships coming and going, a front row seat to the 4th of July fireworks at Derby Wharf and other festivities in historic Salem throughout the year are now open for the world to see from Shetland Park’s webcam.
