Lynde Street Cafe Space Will Reopen as 'Firenze Trattoria'

1. It will be another hot day in Salem. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be sunny, with a high near 89. Tonight should be partly cloudy, with a low around 72. (sunrise, 5:21 a.m.; high tide, 6:23 a.m.; low tide, 12:30 p.m.; sunset, 8:17 p.m.)

3. The Amazing Acro-Cats are performing in Salem this week. Samantha Martin and her 13-cat performance troupe will be taking the stage at The Griffen Theatre tonight through Friday. Show times are 6:30 and 9 p.m. Click Here for our full story.

4. The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet tonight at the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m., is expected to feature a discussion regarding a proposed project on Columbus Avenue, according to the posted agenda

5. Today in History: On July 17, 1955, Disneyland was dedicated and opened by Walt Disney in Anaheim, Calif.
