Let's Get Dirty!

​Obstacle racing is one of the fastest growing sports across the country.  It’s different from other sports like baseball, basketball, hockey, football, etc. because your biggest competition is yourself instead of an opponent.  Two of the most popular forms of obstacle racing today are Tough Mudder and Spartan Race.

​These races include crawling under barbed wire through mud, climbing over a wall, and tackling various inclines and declines while running.  This may sound like the type of training that people in the military…Well, that’s because many of these events are based off of military training.  The men and women who serve in the military are among those who are in the best shape in the world, so why not train like them?

​At AP+ we take a similar approach to training by ensuring that clients maintain an up-tempo heart rate while at the same time building lean muscle through weight lifting and resistance training.  WARNING: People who participate in this type of training program may experience extreme sweating, increased energy, fat loss, and a good night’s sleep!
