Wilson Kelsey Design Takes Part in Holiday Showcase

Participation Celebrates Recent Board Election And Benefits Area Children’s Organizations

Sally Wilson is celebrating her recent election to the Board of Directors of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art - New England Chapter in style.

Wilson, an interior designer with Wilson Kelsey Design, is participating in Van Millwork’s “Mantels & Mistletoe” Holiday Showcase, a décor and design exhibition featuring the talents of local design professionals.  There, she is decorating a mantel in a fashion that befits the Institute’s charter…with classical and understated elegance.

“Our mantel is a very adult statement about the holidays,” Wilson said.  “You won’t find any Santa’s, snowmen or toys.  Instead we’ll use sophisticated greenery, gold ribbon and gold-tinged natural elements such as pine cones, leaves and berries.”

Wilson’s mantel design is just one of nine individually decorated mantels in Van Millwork 4,000 square foot showroom.  Each mantel is personally decorated by one of eight area designers for the holidays. Wilson’s design can be found in the showroom’s Victorian Suite.

“We find our clients are in the mood to simplify their lives.  Our ‘Mantels & Mistletoe’  presentation will follow this ‘less is more’ concept,” said Wilson about her design.

And while ‘less is more’ for Wilson Kelsey Design, more is more for visitors who can stroll through the Van Millwork showroom, discovering holiday decorating ideas and gathering festive inspiration for their own homes.

The event also benefits Horizons for Homeless Children, Cradles to Crayons and The Italian Home for Children.  Attendees are being asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy or article of clothing for infants through age 14.  Monetary donations are also welcome.  Van Millwork will be making a contribution to each organization.

The event will be open December 3- 20, 2013 every Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Van Millwork Needham Showroom at 65 Crawford Street.
