Tutors Needed At Salem Academy Charter School
Salem Academy Charter School is a small, public charter school serving the diverse student population of Salem and the surrounding communities with grades six through twelve. Through a unique integration of rigorous college preparatory classes with service to the community, the school graduates informed, articulate and proactive individuals of strong character. Salem Academy believes that every student is capable of success when held to high expectations and provided with structure and consistency. The school community is based on mutual respect and thoughtful relationships, and students are encouraged to pursue school norms defined as REACH - Responsible, Empathetic, Assertive, Cooperative, Honest.
Volunteers are needed to provide tutoring services to students grades 6 through 12 who need additional time and support on grade-level content and skills. Take this opportunity to make a positive impact on the youth in our community.
· Possess a GED or High School diploma, at minimum
· Be able to pass a CORI (background check)
· Enjoy working with middle and high school students
· Commit to 1-2 hours per week
· Provide a resume and 3 professional references
