Shellfish in Salem Sound--

Why can't we eat the shellfish in Salem Sound?
Get the answer to this question at a presentation at 7 pm at the Abbot Public Library, 235 Pleasant St in Marblehead.

Barbara Warren, Executive Director of Salem Sound Coastwatch will talk about the state of the shellfish beds in Salem Sound (did you know there are soft-shell clams, quahogs, razor clams and more in Salem Sound?), the important ecological functions they provide and what we can expect in the future. The title of her presentation is "Shellfish, Shellfish Everywhere and Not a Clam to Eat!"

Free and open to the public. Co-sponsored by Salem Sound Coastwatch and the Abbot Public Library.
