Macy’s Continues Support for Non-profit Helping Women Enduring Breast Cancer

North Andover, MA. —December 16, 2013 — A Little Easier Recovery, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is thrilled to announce another grant award from Macy’s which allows this non-profit organization to provide a free program to advanced breast cancer patients enduring extensive surgery. Every contribution helps sustain the organizations growth and allows them to assist more patients enduring cancer treatment and recovery.

A Little Easier Recovery was founded by Cathy McGrath who created the Jacki® to assist women going through breast cancer treatment and recovery. Founder Cathy McGrath and Program Director Maureen Cardinal are both Salem State graduates. Today, oncology staff distributes the Jacki® free to breast cancer patients during one-on-one care planning at 81 hospitals in 20 states including Alaska. A Little Easier Recovery has helped over 12,000 breast cancer patients to date.

Generous contributions from corporations like Macy’s has given A Little Easier Recovery the opportunity to make the grueling process of cancer treatments and recovery ‘a little easier’ for program participants. The Jacki® Program’s advanced post-surgical recovery garment and Organization System allows patients to do more, feel better, and live a better quality life.
