HomeStart Announces Salem Resident as New Housing Search Director

HomeStart is proud to announce the addition of Kate Jordan as their new Housing Search Director.  In this role, Ms. Jordan will assist homeless individuals and families, who are currently being housed in shelters, with locating permanent and affordable housing. 

 

As Housing Search Director, Ms. Jordan will work with HomeStart’s management team to oversee the agency’s long-term planning and assist with the development of programs.  She will be responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of housing staff and manage all internal development programs. In addition, Ms. Jordan will lead a monthly meeting of Greater Boston’s housing advocates, and will act as HomeStart’s primary liaison with local shelters and fellow support organizations.

Prior to joining HomeStart, Ms. Jordan managed the Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC) within Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership (MBHP.)

“We are thrilled to welcome Kate into the HomeStart family,” said Linda Wood-Boyle, president and CEO of HomeStart.  “Kate has extensive experience working in the field of affordable housing, and brings her considerable management and organizational skills to this position.  She will be a wonderful addition to our staff.”

 

Ms. Jordan has a bachelor of arts from Clark University in Worcester.  A native of Gloucester, Mass. she now resides  in Salem, Mass.
