Washington Arch Update at City Hall Tonight
Here are the five things you need to know before you start your day in Salem.
Today is Tuesday, Oct. 2, and here are the five things you need to know:
1. It should be another pleasant day in Salem. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be sunny, with a high near 71. Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low around 56. (sunrise, 6:40 a.m.; high tide, 9:11 a.m.; low tide, 2:51 p.m.; sunset, 6:24 p.m.)
2. The Salem City Council Committee of the Whole will meet at City Hall tonight to discuss proposed renovations to Salem's Washington Arch at Salem Common. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Click Here for our full story.
3. The Salem Recycling Committee will meet tonight at the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., is expected to feature a discussion regarding an upcoming textiles drive, according to the posted agenda.
4. Salem High School's girls' varsity soccer team will host Gloucester this afternoon. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., so consider stopping by to cheer them on! Click Here for game details.
