Salem Schedules Annual Action Plan Hearing

Here are the five things you need to know before you start your day in Salem.

Today is Wednesday, Jan. 8, and here are the five things you need to know

1. It should be another freezing cold day in Salem. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be sunny, with a high near 21. Tonight should be increasingly cloudy, with a low around 14. (sunrise, 7:12 a.m.; low tide, 10:40 a.m.; sunset, 4:27 p.m.; high tide, 4:58 p.m.)

2. Local residents are invited to offer their Salem Action Plan suggestions at a public hearing on Jan. 16. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. in the third floor meeting room of the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. Click Here for our full story.

3. The Salem Board of Health will meet tonight at the City Council Anteroom at City Hall on Washington Street. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., is expected to feature a reorganization of board members, according to the posted agenda.
