Board of Health Offering Free Flu Vaccinations Today

Here are the five things you need to know before you start your day in Salem.


Today is Wednesday, Jan. 29, and here are the five things you need to know

1. It should be another chilly day in Salem. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be cloudy, with a high near 24. Tonight should be clear, with a low around 14. (sunrise, 7:00 a.m.; high tide, 9:15 a.m.; low tide, 3:38 p.m.; sunset, 4:53 p.m.)

2. The Salem Board of Health, in conjunction with the North Shore Community Health Center, will be hosting a free walk-in flu vaccination clinic on Congress Street today. Click Here for our full story.

3. The City Council Committee on Ordinances, Licenses & Legal Affairs will meet tonight at City Hall. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., according to the posted agenda

4. The Salem Mayor's Office announced Tuesday that the city will begin implementing a new initiative focused on better clearing snow from sidewalks and crossings that front municipal or public property. Click Here for our full story.
