Today is Wednesday, Dec. 11, and here are the five things you need to know:

2. Salem State University's a cappella group, SSockapella, will hold a Winter Showcase tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Callan Theatre in the basement of the university's Sullivan Building. The event will include favorite popular songs from singers such as Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Awolnation, as well as some holiday favorites.

3. A Marblehead man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Salem Superior Court to rape and indecent assault and battery charges after he posted nude photographs of the victim on Facebook. Click Here for our full story.

4. The Salem School Building Committee will meet this afternoon at School Committee Chambers on Highland Avenue. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., according to the posted agenda.
