The Salem Police responded to the following calls and made the following arrests on Sunday and Monday. Sunday, March 114:30 p.m. — Malicious destruction to a vehicle was reported on Moffatt Road. Police said a vehicle was spray-painted overnight. 4:47 p.m. — A man reported a hit and run on South Street. Police said someone damaged a 20-foot section of fence in the overnight hours. 4:47 p.m. — Trash dumping was reported on Aurora Lane. 5:32 p.m. — A loose, black dog was reported on Palmer Street. The Salem Police made the following arrests this weekend.Friday, Nov. 18 Sam Thomas Burr, 17, of 22 Old Planters Road, in Beverly, was arrested on charges of wanton destruction of property and disorderly conduct. Juan A. Luna, 49, of 5 Washington Sq., in Haverhill, was arrested on a domestic assault and battery charge. Shawn W. Wheeler, 26, of 23 Prescott St., was arrested on charges of speeding and operating after a license suspension.
