It was a night of community and goodwill. On Tuesday night November 20th Finz Seafood & Grill and owner George Carey opened their doors to host a fundraiser to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy. My company Social Palates had been working with George and Finz since shortly after the hurricane to throw a gala event and welcome the community to have a fantastic night of community spirit and goodwill towards those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The outpouring was humbling. Members of the community came out in droves to spend the night with us and enjoy music, auctions, camaraderie and new and old friends.
George and myself would like to personally thank everyone that donated, time, services, artwork, gifts and spirit to such a worthy cause. Please if you have time show these businesses, bands, people some appreciation and check out their products and services, take a moment and at least say thank you. It is not an easy time of year to give given we are already in the holiday season, however everyone went above and beyond for what quickly became a magical evening.
