This is an interesting twist on a traditional deck of playing cards, and it's almost 100 years old! Each of the 52 cards has a message at the top and bottom of each card. Each card also has a circled number on the side; some are red, and some are black. These are the power valuesof the cards. (More on this in a moment.)
The box and a few of the cards are pictured nearby.
I tried the "Circle of Seven" layout. After shuffling the cards, I dealt out the cards counting from the top: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and putting the 7th aside. I continued through the deck until I had put aside 7 cards; the last three cards are also discards. The seven cards are then turned over one at a time in the order in which they were selected.
The seven cards were: QH, QD, 2H, AD, QC, 10C, 6D.
The first card was a red one, and a heart - both are fortunate signs for a reading for a woman. The spades are the unfortunate cards, and this reading had no spades appear.
The best seven cards that any one can select are 7D, 7H, 7C, QC, AH, AD, AC. Of those seven, two appeared in this reading - again, a very fortunate sign. They signify high power and force.
The power values are summed together if they are red, and any that are in black are subtracted from the total. The numbers were all positive: 24, 4, 27, 34, 36, 30, and 32. Total 187; anything over 150 is considered extremely fortunate.
So, so far the reading is all full of favorable omens! Now to look at the messages on each card. Though the cards have two messages on them, only the message at the top of the card is relevant in the reading.
QH: You have a true loving woman friend. You can trust her fully.
QD: Stand steadfast and refuse to allow silly remarks to cause you unhappiness.
2H: Your love affair will terminate happily. (?? terminate ?? happily ??)
AD: You will become famous through an invention or some wonderful accomplishment.
QC: The ruler of cards and of your destiny. Consult her. She will give wonderful advice.
10C: Profit, money and influence will be yours if you do not abuse your good fortune.
6D: Hard work, thrift, and a certain element of luck will win you independence.
The messages led to some journaling and introspection, and I found it to be quite illuminating. This is an easy deck to use, and to get a clear message.

I just got a 1919 original set and am thrilled! I paid 25cents for them. They are in good to fair condition, well used, and most interestingly came from a garage sale of a devout catholic family.

I have the same deck type but different version, with green sphinxes on the card backs, and FOUR text fortunes for each card, one on each of the four deck sides. It's so true about this pack providing very clear messages! I have worked with the Crowley Tarot, Waite-Rider Deck, and Helena Paterson's and Courtney Davis' Celtic Lunar Tarot. I currently am enjoying this REVELATION deck very much!

Oh! and I have just the deck, which on the title card claims to come with instructions, so it would be great to find a scan of those somewhere online! Cheers!
