Thursday, March 8 It’s the start of the weekend so LETS GET BUSY BABY!!!

Vanilla Manvelope will perform at In a Pigs Eye.  Sarah Seminski , Eric Reardon, Joe Cesarz, Chris Sink and Jim Larkin make up the band. Eric is just amazing on Guitar and I could listen and WATCH Sarah every night. What a performer!

Seaport Café is hosting the fabulous Dave Bailin and the Bailouts. The best rock and roll around. If you haven’t heard them, come to this great venue tonight. You won’t be sorry.

Friday, March 9

The Jackleg Preachers perform their weekly acoustic blues jam at In a Pigs Eye. Start time is around 4:15 a.m. Always a big, fun lovin crowd. Get there early and say hi to Annie on the bar

Green Land Café has Julie Dougherty.  Hear her lovely voice singing Folk and rock originals and covers.

The Seaport Café has the fab Dejas. Heard them for the first time last Sunday after hearing their opening song in the Salem Film Fests “Wild Horses, Wild Ride” Where have I been that I hadn’t heard them before? And I have to miss tonight's show cus I’ll be out of town. Don't you miss it.

For your dancing pleasure, Rockafellas is hosting The Open Bar Band. I love the name. I hear Rockafellas has a new menu. Give it a try.

Haven’t heard the band but I like any band with “Blues” in their name. Deep Fryd Blues will be at Finz. The spelling doesn’t look right but that’s the way it is on Finz website.

43 Church is starting to have live music again. Tonight its North Shore Acoustic project.  Great upscale room.

Saturday, March 10

The Jackleg Preachers are all electric at Murphy’s almost every Saturday. Expect a lot of the same great performers you hear at The Pig from Friday, only amplified. Show starts early again, around 4:15 p.m. This is a great music room and a great take.

Finz is hosting The Mystics.  Joe Lily, formerly of the fab 70’s rock band Duke and the Drivers, plays lead guitar and vocals. Also in the band are Bobby Keyes on guitar, Marty Richards on drums, Marty Ballou on bass and Tom West on keys. “Has anyone seen the Duke?”

Check out Howlin Wolf, where Hornitz  will be playing. This is another room that I’m happy is bringing back live music

Sunday, March 11

Sunday/Funday is the weekly jam at Seaport Café, starting around 4:15,   Chris Fitz and Steve Peabody (PBD) and other guests are here to entertain you for this end of weekend spectacular. This is my favorite weekly show in town. Bring your dancing shoes.  

If your taste runs to Irish folk, O’Neill’s runs an Irish Session starting around 4ish. Bring the family because this is a kid-friendly event. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see some kid’s step dancing. O'Neill’s also does the Irish Session on Friday and Saturday. Jim and Roze from MERJ sit in regularly. Always a great show

 Monday, March 12

Open mic at In a Pigs Eye with Lisa Marie and Domenic. This is your chance at fame. If you have musical talent come down and get on the list. Or just come by and enjoy. This duo is possibly the hardest working people around, regularly traveling hundreds of miles a week to perform.

 Wednesday, March 14

Every Wednesday, Rockafella’s hosts a Latin Salsa Dance Party. Come by at 8 and learn some moves. There is a paid admission for dance lessons but a great way to meet similar-minded people. The party continues after 10 with you using all the moves you have learned. Again, bring your dancing shoes.
