Winter Storm: Salem Information Center

Monday, Jan. 21

6:06 p.m. — Snow forecast increased, Winter Storm Warning declared: The National Weather Service has upped its forecast for the Salem area to 5-8 inches, with accumulations of a foot possible.

3:05 p.m. — Forecast calls for up to 7 inches of snow.

7:00 p.m. — Snow Emergency Declared.

10:00 p.m. — Citywide parking ban begins.

11:00 p.m. — Forecasts adjusted, Salem expected to get 2 to 4 inches.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

12:05 a.m.  Forecasts adjusted, Salem expected to get 1 to 3 inches.

5:00 a.m. — Looks like Salem got just a dusting overnight.

6:00 a.m. — Snow Emergency Ends.
