Vote for Salem Finalist in Ron Howard/Canon Contest
Support Thomas Stirling as he goes for the win.
One Salem man's vision could inspire a celebrity director's next film, but he needs your help.
Thomas Stirling, a Salem resident (you've probably heard us rave about his photography) is a finalist in Canon's Project Imaginat10n.
His photo, "Stairwell Entity," is up for the win in the contest's "The Unknown" category
People will be able to vote for Stirling's photo (you can find it here) once every 24 hours until Oct. 1. Users can create a log-in on the site here or they can log in with Facebook or Twitter.
If Stirling is selected, Eva Longoria, Jamie Foxx, Biz Stone, Georgina Chapman or James Murphy could direct a film inspired by the image under the mentorship of Ron Howard.
And how about Stirling's inspirition for "Stairwell Entity?" Here's what Stirling had to say:
"The inspiration for the photo is taken from movies like Poltergeist. There is a scene in Poltergeist where ghosts are filmed coming down the steps of the family home," Stirling explained. "I guess I had that sort of in my mind as I took this," he said, adding that Salem and its associations with hauntings/witches and the occult" were also inspirations for the photo.
Be sure to bookmark this page to support Salem's very own photographer — we may see Stirling's vision on the big screen!

I am one of the winners! so I have won $500 for the canon store and 2 tickets to the premier of the Project Imaginat10n film festival in NYC next summer. I also have been narrowed down to the final few to have a shot at having my image used as part of the movie. Thanks to all who supported me with the votes.
