Mexican hors d'oeuvres, drinks and a red low-lit atmospheric glow welcomed friends, family and select members of the community to preview the new restaurant. The evening's soundtrack was provided by DJ Scotty Marz.

Red Lulu Cocina and Tequila Bar opened its doors for the VIP Grand Opening Wednesday night in the establishment formerly known as Strega.
Serving Mexican hors d'oeuvres, magaritas and other tequila drinks, Red Lulu joined the Salem dining ranks just in time for Halloween.

Was it as loud as the video made it seem? Call me an old lady, but I like to be able to talk to the people I go out to dinner with. Maybe it was just for the opening night party atmosphere?

The music was loud. Not sure if it was for opening night party or not, but DJ Scotty Marz was there spinning. Maybe more of a Fri/Sat night after hours experience.

I loved the music!! It was very festive and I couldn't sit still all evening long! I lived in Guadalajara, Mexico for a summer and ate my way through many other regions. Red Lulu's food is authentic and absolutely delicious! What a fabulous addition to Salem. Buena Suerte!
