VIDEO: Crash, Repeat Victory at Witches Cup
Cyclists took to the streets around Salem Common Wednesday evening at the Witches Cup.
Rider Luke Keough took the Witches Cup Men's Elite race crown at Salem Common Wednesday for the second year in a row.
Keough, who resides in Sandwich, Mass. is only 20 years old.
Cyclists competed in three different divisions — Amateur Men, Women and Elite Men.
Geoffrey Bouchard of Coventry, R.I. and Amy McGuire of Jamaica Plain topped the Men's Amateur and Women's Open respectively.
The race wasn't without suspense. Several riders necessitated medical attention after a crash and subsequent pileup during the Men's Amateur competition. EMTs and medical staff were on scene to treat those injured and the race was stopped while riders were treated and the course cleared.
If you have photos from the race, feel free to add them to our gallery here.

Very impressed - I think you might have been the only person to actually catch the crash on video! Scary stuff.

Thanks, Josh. Right time, right place. I'm glad there were so many medical personnel so close. Those riders are daredevils!

Just curious, is the course just multiple loops around the Common?
