Theft Reported at Derby Street Dunkin' Donuts

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Thursday, Feb. 14:
- At 1:33 p.m., police responded to a report of a person stuck in a car wash on Boston Street.
- At 4:44 p.m., police located a man known to have an outstanding warrant on Lafayette Street. Alex R. Ledford, 17, of 42 Newhall St., Lynn, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.
- At 6:04 p.m., police responded to a report of an out of control customer on Commercial Street.
- At 7:02 p.m., police responded to Boston Street for a report of a man causing a disturbance.
- At 8:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a car alarm sounding on Palmer Street.
- At 10:29 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Lafayette Street.
- At 11:36 p.m., police responded to a loud house party on Laurel Street.
Friday, Feb. 15:
- At 12:54 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Canal Street. Octavio Santos, 21, of 19 Reddington St., Swampscott, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
- At 1:09 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Barstow Street. Amanda M. Teixeira, 23, of 37 Lynn St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
- At 1:52 a.m., a Lafayette Street woman called police to report that the her front door panels had been kicked in.
- At 2:58 a.m., police responded to a loud party on Leach Street.
- At 4:28 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Harbor Street.
- At 9:47 a.m., police responded to a reported theft at the Dunkin' Donuts on Derby Street. The owner told police that a woman who applied for a job has shoplifted two bags of coffee valued a 8$ a piece. The woman returned to the store, paid for the items and was issued a no trespass order.
- At 10:16 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on First Street.
- At 1:33 p.m., a man was placed under arrest at the intersection of Derby and Wharf streets. John R. Aia Jr., 42, of 8 Herbert St., Salem, was arrested on charges of carrying a dangerous weapon (brass knuckles) and carrying a large knife.
- At 1:37 p.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting at The Magic Parlor. The owner told police he confronted a man who stole a deck of cards and "swung at him" before he left the store.
- At 2:05 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Derby and Turner streets involving a fire truck and a parked car.
- At 2:33 p.m., police responded to a report of kids throwing snowballs at motor vehicles on Broad Street.
- At 3:37 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Washington Square.
