A 16-year-old male was struck twice by a vehicle at Boston and Federal streets before being transported to Salem Hospital Wednesday afternoon. 

The accident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. According to scanner reports, the person was under a truck, but was not trapped.

At 1:41 p.m., scanner reports indicated traffic was being redirected at the Bridge and Boston Street intersection.

At approximately 1:50 p.m. police asked the Department of Public Works for horses to shut down the area for and investigation of the accident.
