Tanicia Goodwin Out of Mental Hospital

Goodwin is due to appear in court on June 11 for a probable cause hearing.

Tanicia Goodwin has been moved out of Worcester State Hospital to the  Massachusetts Correctional Institution in Framingham as a grand jury is assembled for her case.

Goodwin, 25, allegedly slashed her children's throats before setting her Pope Street apartment on fire on March 18.

On Thursday morning at Salem District Court, her probable cause hearing was moved to June 11.

Assistant District Attorney Melissa A. Woodard said the grand jury should be assembled and Goodwin indicted by the June 11 date.

Until several weeks ago, Goodwin was being held at the Worcester facility on a Section 18 to evaluate her mental health.
