Salem Woman Charged With 3rd OUI
The following information was submitted by the Salem Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Thursday Feb. 28:
- At 6:50 p.m., police responded to a report of a past assault on Glover Street.
- At 7:19 p.m., police responded to a reported assault and battery on Highland Avenue. A woman working at North Shore Medical Center told police that she was punched, thrown to the ground and kicked with a bare foot by Kerri Downer. Downer will be summonsed to court on three counts of assault and battery.
- At 8:13 p.m., police responded to a report of an out-of-control juvenile on Pope Street.
- At 10:05 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Essex Street.
Friday, March 1:
- At 12:13 a.m., police conducted a well-being check near the intersection of Federal and Flint streets. Casey Miller, 31, of 149 Federal St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
- At 2:32 a.m., police responded to a report of a fight in the street near the intersection of Canal Street and Ocean Avenue. Responding officers were unable to locate anyone fighting in the area.
- At 2:56 a.m., police attempted to stop a motor vehicle near the intersection of Derby and Daniels streets but the operator refused to pull over. Cody Farris will be summonsed to court on charges of refusing to stop for police, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
- At 3:40 a.m., police located a woman known to have an outstanding warrant at the intersection of Derby and Daniels streets. Kristine M. Fiore, 59, of 16 Daniels St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
- At 5:58 a.m., police received word that a car had driven into two houses on Colby Street. 33 Hillside Ave. and 15 Colby St. were reportedly damaged in the accident and the city's building inspector was called to the scene. Matthew C. Sirois, 22, of 63 Cliff St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with property damage. - At 10:05 a.m., police responded to a dispute between a landlord and their tenant on Herbert Street.
- At 10:17 a.m., a hypodermic needle was discovered on Essex Street.
- At 10:35 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lafayette Street.
- At 10:45 a.m., a Laurel Street resident called police to report that someone kicked and damaged their picket fence overnight.
- At 11:01 a.m., a Daniels Street woman called police to report that she returned home to find that $900 in cash was missing from her apartment.
- At 11:26 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lafayette Street.
- At 1:26 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator on Belleview Avenue. Ellen M. Kelleher, 57, of 37 Belleview Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, third offense.
- At 2:37 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Memorial Drive.
- At 3:14 p.m., police responded to a report of a group of people walking in the roadway on Bridge Street.
- At 4:15 p.m., police and fire units responded to a report of someone stuck in an elevator on Loring Avenue.
- At 5:11 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lynde Street.
- At 5:18 p.m., police responded to a report of a dog in a pond near Hayes Road.
Other arrest:
Kenneth A. Sutton, 37, of 12 Pope St., Salem, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and battery, intimidating a witness, threatening to commit a crime and kidnapping.
