Salem's Week in Social Media

A look at Facebook and Twitter activity this week.

Salem Patch loves social media. It's how we answer your questions and learn more about your thoughts. Social Media Sunday is a weekly feature where we'll recap highlights from Facebook and other media from this past week. We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

Overheard

  • Facebook is a great place to get all your lingering questions answered. On Thursday, we posted the police log (with one of the best headlines of all time: ). One reader wasn't quite sure what we meant by "Class D" activity in our log, so we were able to clarify it for him (drug activity — marijuana being the most common Class D drug). Never be afraid to ask if you're wondering!
  • We had a blast when we snapped photo upon photo at the pre prom festivities on Saturday. One of our favorite comments came from one reader who shared her own bit of history with us. "I still have my flowers from my Salem High Prom, mumble, mumble 43 yrs ago :0)," she wrote. Thanks for sharing.
  • Thanks to all of you who freaked out with us (in a good way) as we were nearing the end of that nail-biter of a series. We'll be cheering with you until the end!

  • A shout out to the RoOst Facebook page. We love all the quips, photos of new goodies and even shots of stuff going on around town.
