Is Your Student Walking or Biking to School on Friday?

Friday will be Massachusetts Walk and Bike to School Day. Will your student be taking part?

Friday is Massachusetts Walk and Bike to School Day and students across the Commonwealth are being encouraged to find a safe way to get to school on time.

According to a story published in this morning's edition of The Salem News, local elementary school students from the Bates, Bentley, Carlton and Saltonstall schools will meet at points around the city to walk to school together.

Members of the Salem Police Department will reportedly be assisting with traffic control Friday morning and organizers told The Salem News that the event is aimed at building school spirit while promoting healthy, green ways to get to school.
