Trio Arrested on Narcotics Charges After Salem Traffic Stop

The following information was submitted by the Salem Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:

Friday, June 14:

  • At 4:49 p.m., police responded to a report of loose dogs in the street near the intersection of Lafayette and Palmer streets.
  • At 6:12 p.m., a resident called police to report that someone stole their bicycle from the MBTA station on Bridge Street.
  • At 6:48 p.m., a High Street woman entered the police station to report that her car was broken into overnight.
  • At 6:58 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Washington Square South. Scott Ricker, 26, of 40 Bridge St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of possessing a class C substance (Hydrocodone). Barbara L. Ricker, 52, of 48 Tracey St., Peabody, was arrested on charges of possessing a class C substance (Clonazepam) and two counts of possessing a class B substance (Methamphetamine, Oxycodone). Mary Gilligan, 51, of 8 Oak St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of possessing a class C substance (Clonazepam).
  • At 7:08 pm., a hypodermic needle was discovered on Witchcraft Road.
  • At 8:03 p.m., police responded to a reported domestic dispute on Perkins Street. Angel G. Moldonado, 55, of 32 Perkins St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
  • At 8:09 p.m., an Essex Street man called police to report that his car was broken into overnight and a bag containing his laptop was missing.
  • At 9:55 p.m., police made an arrest on Margin Street. Peter F. Maglione, 44, of 11 Sutton St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250.
  • At 10:24 p.m., police responded to a report of kids throwing liquid onto passing motor vehicles on Liberty Hill Avenue.
  • At 10:42 p.m., police made an arrest on Lafayette Street. Christine L. Curley, 33, of 116 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having three outstanding warrants.

  • At 1:10 a.m., police responded to a large fight on Salem Street.
  • At 9:44 a.m., police responded to a report of a raccoon walking in the street on Wall Street.
  • At 11:18 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a cyclist on Bridge Street.
  • At 2:25 p.m., two people were advised to vacate the Broad Street Cemetery after police found them having a picnic on the grounds.
  • At 4:21 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Willow Avenue. Abby Bullard, 24, of 73 Congress St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
  • At 4:39 p.m., a man known to have an outstanding warrant was located near the intersection of Lafayette and Harbor streets. Wesley R. Smith III, 33, of 13 Harbor St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
