Arrest Made at Salem Home Depot

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:

Sunday, June 16:

  • At 9:43 p.m., police responded to a report of a dead cat on Derby Street. The animal was recovered and disposed of.
  • At 11:42 p.m., police received word that a cat had been struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Bridge Street. The animal was disposed of.

  • At 6:28 a.m., a Balcomb Street man called police to report that someone keyed his vehicle overnight.
  • At 6:46 a.m., a suspicious bag was reported on Winter Street.
  • At 9:30 a.m., a local resident called police to report that their bike had been stolen from a rack on Wharf Street.
  • At 9:37 a.m., a Read Street resident called police to report that her unlocked vehicle was broken into overnight and a wallet and a GPS device were missing. The woman said her credit card company called to let her know her credit card had been used in Lynn. Police are investigating the purchases.
  • At 11:41 p.m., police responded to a report of a man acting strangely near a trash can on Boston Street. Allen R. Delisle, 25, of 70 Rear Dodge St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 12:40 p.m., police responded to a reported shoplifting incident at Home Depot on Traders Way. A man reportedly tried to leave the store with computer cables and shoved the loss prevention employee when confronted. Kabineh Kaba, 42, of 37 Upham Road, Lynn, was arrested on charges of shoplifting merchandise by asportation and assault and battery.
  • At 12:51 p.m., a man called police to report that his car was broken into overnight while parked on Colby Street.
  • At 1:36 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle circling the area of Naples Road.
  • At 3:23 p.m., a Hartford Street woman entered the police station to report that she found that one of her solar lights was stolen off of her front lawn.
  • At 4:31 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Derby Square.
