Salem Declares Snow Emergency Starting at 1 A.M.

Starting at 1 a.m., no cars will be allowed to park on Salem's streets.

 

The city has set 1 a.m. Tuesday as the time when a snow emergency goes into effect. At that time, parking will no longer be allowed on Salem's streets.

According to the National Weather Service, the city is expected to get between 2 and 4 inches of snow by the end of the day Tuesday.

Looking for somewhere to park overnight?

Here are some alternative parking areas where you can leave your car:

  • Museum Place Parking Garage  - 50 cents per hour
  • South Harbor Garage - 50 cents per hour
  • Blaney Street Parking Lot (Salem Ferry Landing)
  • Forest River Park
  • Gallows Hill lower
  • Mack Park
  • Broad Street Playground
  • Castle Hill Playground
  • Salem Willows Park
  • The Bentley School Lot
  • The Carlton School Lot
  • The Witchcraft Heights School Lot
  • The Bates School Lot
  • The Collins Middle School
