Readers' Choice: Nominate the Salem Spot with the Best Local Color

Nominate your go-to place in the comments; they may be voted a Readers' Choice later this summer.

If it's near and dear to your heart, Patch wants to know—tell us about the Salem locale with the best local color.

Nominate your favorite place in the comments below. Once you do, Patch will officially add them to the running for best of the best—and later this summer, they may beat out the competition to become the number one Readers' Choice.

We will take nominations through July 9; voting begins July 23.

I'll say The Lobster Shanty and Front Street Coffee Shop. Just so down to earth and comfortable. Interesting people frequent them. <3

In A Pig's Eye. Maybe Lobster Shanty, but it definitely attracts more tourists than the Pig.

Red's is a no-brainer......sit at the counter.
Shanty is one of my favorite spots, but if you even act a bit "rowdy" as a regular you get the boot.....the t-shirts are a gimmick.
Front St. has the best coffee in town.
Tin Whistle is great.
The Pig for music and cheap beer.
