We love our dogs at Patch. Our staff meetings often feature sharing of photos and discussions about our four-legged friends.

Nearly all of our dogs -- Jake, Chloe, Nell, Henry, Annie, Roxie and Goose -- were rescues. They were returned by owners who couldn't care for them, but are now living in loving homes. In fact, we can’t imagine our families without them.

Needless to say, we’re suckers for dogs and dog stories.

That’s why our ears perked up when we read about the latest list of most popular dog names, according to the Veterinary Pet Insurance Co. and Petfinder.com.

The final list for 2011 was the same as the previous year.

Bella, Bailey, Max, Lucy and Molly were the top five with Buddy, Daisy, Maggie, Charlie and Sophie the rest of the top 10.

We want to know: What’s your dog’s name? We also want to see your dog photos. Upload photos of your best friends to this article.

Our dog's name is Lucy and she was a rescue. Lucy is the name she came with and it fits her perfectly. She is a lab, whippet, Chihuahua mix (I have no idea how that combo worked). She is full of energy and makes us smile whenever we look at her!!
Almost all of us at Emerson Dental have dogs and we've contemplated a "bring your dog to work" day. Donna's 130 lb English Mastif and Dr Wu's 7 lb maltipoos... what a combo!

Our dog is named Giacomo, but we call him Jack, too, which is the name he knew from his previous family. He is a rescue from the Animal Rescue League of Boston who saved him from a life of abuse, neglect and cruelty. The family who adopted him named him Jack, but returned him to the ARL after one year because they could not care for him. We thought it best to keep the name he knew, but accentuated it with a family Italian name. He responds to both Jack and Giacomo and more importantly knows he has found his lifetime family.
