Break-in Reported on Leach Street

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Sunday, March 10:
- At 4:32 p.m., police and fire units responded to a report of smoke in a house on Brittania Circle. A woman reportedly fell asleep while cooking food.
- At 5:30 p.m., police responded to a road rage incident at the intersection of Essex and Flint streets.
- At 7:44 p.m., police were called to The Hawthorne Hotel to assist an elderly woman with locating her car, which she said she parked on Washington Square South. After searching the area and not finding the vehicle, it was located in the hotel's parking lot.
- At 8:02 p.m., police responded to a report of a child locked in a motor vehicle on New Derby Street.
- At 8:03 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Hathorne Circle.
- At 10:14 p.m., police responded to a reported break-in on Orne Square.
- At 11:36 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Gallows Hill Road.
Monday, March 11:
- At 1:49 a.m., Salem State University police made an arrest. Felicite S. Bertin, 44, of 286 Chestnut St., Lynn, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 7:30 a.m., police located a man on Hancock Street and placed him under arrest. Frederick A. Devito, 47, of 29 Hancock St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 10:03 a.m., police responded to a report of a stolen iPad on Ward Street. David Lightbody, 27, will be summonsed to court on a count of larceny over $250.
- At 11:00 a.m., a Loring Avenue woman called police to report that her laundry was stolen from a community laundry facility.
- At 1:55 p.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting on Highland Avenue. A pregnant woman was reportedly caught stealing items valued at $124.54 from Walmart.
- At 1:59 p.m., police responded to a report of a past break-in Leach Street.
- At 4:05 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Jefferson Avenue. Amanda E. Hadley, 33, of 239 Jefferson Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
- At 4:45 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Burnside Street.
