Thursday, Jan. 12
12:09 a.m. — Police responded to Lifebridge after someone at the shelter wanted to report an assault. A staff member said she asked a woman at the shelter to change in the bathroom instead of in the dining room. When the woman was changing, the staff member said she saw that the woman was hiding medication bottles in her bra. The staff member said she told the woman to hand them over so they could hold onto the medications. The woman did not turn over the medication because she was afraid they would be stolen. Then, the staff member said she reached and grabbed the medications that were hidden in the bra. The staff member said she was not reaching at the woman's chest, but the woman said she was touched as the staff member was reaching. Another staff member said she saw the five medication bottles. The building was checked, but there were no people inside. The Board of Health was with a man who was trying to gather belongings.
