The Salem Police Department has issued a be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) to members of the public asking for help identifying a male suspect who robbed the Family Dollar store on Sunday.

The suspect is described as a white male who is approximately 30 years old.

The BOLO indicates the man walked into the Family Dollar store on Canal Street at 8:58 p.m. Sunday with a full face ski mask. The victim was able to see "a gap in the front of his bottom row of teeth," police said.

The suspect forced employees who were leaving to empty the safe, according to police. He had a gun in his right hand. The weapon had a laser on it, police said.

The BOLO and photo of the suspect are attached to this article.
