I am trying to understand the difference between being gay and being a cross dresser. If Randy Price did the news as a women,well.......

Hi john,
Cross-dressing is a form of gender expression and identity - transgender. Gay means you are attracted to the same sex. Being gay doesn't mean you cross dress (a la Randy Price) and some cross-dressers aren't even gay.
Yesterdays Pride celebration was for the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) community. In that the acronym I like to throw in an "A" for our straight Allies who provide a tremendous amount of support and are proud to stand alongside the GLBT.
Sexuality is complicated. Thank you for your honest inquiry.

Well, I think i understand.Having said that,I don't think cross dressing is appropriate for a public parade. How are young children suppose to process cross dressing in a public parade? I recall Dr Sharpe!!!!

I noticed the police talking with that TINY group of hate-mongers near the entrance of the Commons. I was wondering if they were removed for not having a permit to attend? I know the Commons is pretty sacred ground when it comes to being permitted to operate with a powered voice amplifier...
Luckily it was such a small, insignificant group of people compared to those out to support.

I wonder what that hate-mongering group would have done, if they were suddenly confronted by a group of the parade marchers, all wearing crucifix pendants.
Such a picture would be priceless!
That group (picture 260) does not look happy being confronted by SPD. I hope they were asked to leave.
